Combining an unusual depth of experience with research, analysis, new ideas and persistence, Wells Hill is dedicated to helping owners conceive and manage valuable real estate transactions.  Wells Hill has remained a small, directed firm since its inception in 1983 in order to allow its senior professionals to maximize team focus on each engagement rather than on managing a larger organization.  The firm limits its engagements to those representing an opportunity for Wells Hill to add significant value by applying intensive effort and strong relationships to unique circumstances.  Typically, Wells Hill is engaged as an extension of its client’s internal resources, helping to identify and address opportunities or problems that transcend the client’s day-to-day business.


Wells Hill has built a business by meeting the need for fiduciary-like advice and representation in the real estate arena.  Wells Hill serves its client’s interests first, and we ask our client base to be available to prospective clients to comment on our adherence to this principle.  Whenever possible, Wells Hill’s early involvement in helping to formulate objectives, order priorities, develop strategy and set tactics contributes to our ability to clearly understand and best represent our client’s interests.

Throughout each assignment, after working to determine the client’s strategic objectives and to assist in organizing them in order of priority, Wells Hill focuses on generating alternative plans to achieve such objectives based on what is feasible in the current real estate and capital markets.  Wells Hill then assists the client in selecting the optimal plan and takes responsibility for executing such plan, including, where appropriate, formulating valuations, undertaking informal pre-marketing and formal marketing, selecting and negotiating with the counterparty, coordinating due diligence and closing the transaction.


By maintaining the highest standards and consistently achieving success, Wells Hills has established valuable relationships with domestic and international real estate owners, operators, investors, developers and lenders, as well as high-net-worth families, family offices, and both for-profit and not-for-profit institutions.  In addition, as a result of its volume of transactions, broad industry access, technological expertise and network of contacts globally, Wells Hill has been able to build comprehensive databases and to cultivate important relationships throughout the real estate and capital markets.  This access and Wells Hill’s track record enable controlled targeting of the most relevant counterparties for each transaction.

When making a principal investment, Wells Hill is able to leverage its position in the marketplace, its network of relationships, and its experience in advisory, structuring and capital placement to achieve positive results. Such investments typically are in partnership with other successful and sophisticated groups who serve as the operating partners in the ventures.
